You may have seen these kids performing at the Farmer's Market at Pioneer Park in Salt Lake City.
Tabitha Ricks is a violin player so she really wasn't surprised when her one-and-a-half-year-old son started asking her when he could learn to play. That's when she put him in lessons. Seth is now eight years old and loves to fiddle.
Seth's sister Samantha, 4, is also learning to play the violin.
Both are learning by the Suzuki method... which means they learn to play before they learn to read music. Tabitha is very involved in their lessons, she takes notes and them and helps them practice.
Seth practices an hour-and-a-half every day. Samantha practices for about forty-five minutes.
Tabitha says she wants her kids to learn music, not to necessarily make a career out of it, but to make them better people.
