The familiar Christmas carol comes to life in beautiful picture book
As told by Emmy award-winning actress Jane Seymour, Good King Wenceslas (Shadow Mountain, $21.99) is the classic Christmas story of a good king and his faithful page who ventured out to deliver food and comfort on a cold wintry night and has now been captured in beautiful illustration and narration.
Original lyrics are woven into a moving story to present Good King Wenceslas, and Ms. Seymour invites all to bring the blessings of Christmas to their families. Beautiful illustrations by Omar Rayyan will allow families, both old and young, to enjoy this Christmas book and the powerful message. Small callout boxes throughout the book share specific details about medieval life: details about St. Stephen’s Day, page boys, castles and Christmas celebration in the middle ages.
Also included in the book is a DVD with narration from the concert by Ms. Seymour plus additional details about the original carol and life in medieval times.
