Handy Gal Tips
POST ITS :
Other uses for the items which have become one of the most useful items on our desks…
Clean between keyboard keys: slide them between the keys to pick up all those dust bunnies and crumbs which fall between the keys
Use them as a bookmark, you can also use them to help your kids know where they need to start and stop for a reading assignment
Cut the sticky part off the post it and use it for temporary tape to post a note or hang a note. You can also use it to temporary label a file folder
TOOTHPASTE (PASTE NOT GEL)
Dab on a bee sting or bug bite to temporarily relieve itching and the sting
Use it to hang a poster, dab it on the back of the paper and while still wet hang on the wall (slide it around a bit to set it on the wall) when the paste dries it works like glue
Here’s a quick way to make an air freshener for your car, take a paper towel and put a strip of toothpaste down the center, fold the paper towel and place the whole thing under the seat of your car, or any other small space
NYLONS
Remove antiperspirant stains, just rub over the residue and the nylon will pick it up
To see if you have done a good job sanding, or see if you need too… put your hand in the nylon and brush over the sanded wood, if you’ve missed a spot the nylon will stick to it
Make a “scrubbie” for Teflon, place a plain sponge inside a few old nylons or a ball of them inside and you can now gently scrub the Teflon pans
