Love Notes
Reminding your child you love them is a great idea, who doesn't want to be reminded of that right… but instead of just saying I love you, be specific… tell them exactly why you love them. "I love how you helped your little sister find her shoes yesterday" or "I love how you showed good sportsmanship in your soccer game when you helped that kid up after he fell". Let them know you really noticed something outstanding they did.

Change it up
Instead of packing just one boring sandwich, switch things up and send them off with 4 different sandwiches, cut the bread into 4 sections, then make mini sandwiches… give them a variety.

Riddles and Jokes
Write the question out in big letters with the answers in small letters upside down (turn the paper upside down and write) Kids love them and they can play along with their friends during lunch, there are lot's of fun sources for kid jokes and riddles on-line. You can prepare of few of them and tuck them aside for later.

Play with your food
Build, Destroy, Eat: Here is another fun play with your food idea, pack pretzel sticks and cheese cubes. Use them just like tinker toys, pushing the pretzels into the cheese cubes to build anything you would like… then destroy and eat!

Surprise Treat
Once in a while pack a special treat for them, like a candy bar, or one of their favorite snacks. But instead of just dropping it in, make it extra special and wrap it up! How fun would it be to get a little "present" in your lunch. Doesn't have to be full wrapping paper with a bow, even tin foil sealed with a fun sticker works!

Happy Meals
Just like Ronald does… put a little toy in their lunch! Something they can keep at school, like a fun eraser, pencil with their favorite character on it like Thor, Ironman or Victoria Justice. Something they can use to remember you thought of them today.
