February, with Valentine's Day, is the most popular time of the year for wedding proposals.
Robin Saville with BrideAccess.com says there are three things you should do when you start planning your wedding.
1) SET THE DATE
You are not really engaged until a date is set. By setting the day it helps you to begin putting in motion everything for the wedding...and more importantly, putting in place the your lives as a married couple. Its difficult to start booking your wedding professionals without a date. And by not setting the day could result in not having what you would like for your wedding and you may even pay more.
2) KEEP DATING.
Far too often after the proposal and a day is scheduled, couples forget to keep dating. Often the bride-to-be gets so wrapped up in the wedding plans that the relationship can actually suffer. Set aside AT LEAST one day a week where you do not discuss wedding plans. Also keep doing the things together you loved to do before.
3) SET REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.
Work to understand the possible financial limitations one family may have for a wedding. And try not to call it "MY WEDDING." Its "OUR WEDDING" and OUR often means both families.
Saville also talked about some contests. First, the "Regrets Video Contest". You can tell why you regret not having a wedding video and you may win one after all. You may also enter to will a pair of diamond earrings. Ultimate Utah Wedding. Submit a two minute video showing why you are the ultimate University of Utah fan to enter to win an entire University of Utah theme. You can find out more about each of these contests by going to:
