The timing couldn't be better for Utah to have another author explode onto the scene of fantasy writing. Phillip Jones' new fantasy series, "Worlds of the Crystal Moon," is taking Utah by storm.

Unconventional, Phillip has worked with the people of Utah to become a part of the writing process. Phillip said, "Along the way, I have given the fans of the Crystal Moon the freedom to give input. This personal feedback has quickly grown into the next big phenomenon with talks of future films to be shot here in our beloved state."

The first two novels in the series, Crystal Moon, World of Grayham and Magic of Luvelles are available now at Barnes and Noble. The Orem Barnes and Noble will be hosting the Worlds of the Crystal Moon for what many feel will be the biggest event of the year on April 3, 2010, from noon to 3pm. The last time an event was held, the fans who came early were given gifts and there is expected to be a huge surprise for the first 50 people who attend.

"The Worlds of the Crystal Moon was spawned from a nightmare," says Phillip. "I was disoriented and felt the reality I returned to was still, somehow, a part of the fantasy I just escaped. I had to write. This series will be the next epic adventure, but with one big difference. I want Utah to benefit and to create jobs in a tough economy. I would like to see the feature films shot in our great state."

SERIES SYNOPSIS: The story takes place on five new worlds which have been created after the Great Destruction of Everything Known. The "so-called" gods who managed to survive the God Wars have created this new, smaller solar system and now, the Crystal Moon governs everything. When the pieces of the Crystal Moon are stolen and its pieces are scattered, the last three earthlings who have been spared the devastation are asked to go after its pieces, but beware, power is everything and a game of the gods has begun.

Fun for the family…come meet many of Utah's actors who plan to audition for key roles. Meet the Lizardian, Goddess of Earth, as she and other key characters within the series show up dressed in full costume to take pictures with Utah's families. Meet Richard Newman, makeup special effects artist, who will be painting faces. Dark Sun Studios will be attending with a green screen. Sandman Studios will be attending. This studio employs artists who have worked on films such as Armageddon, Ants, Minority Report and the TV series Pushing Daisies. Families can have their photos put directly into the worlds of the Crystal Moon environments. Don't be the one to miss out. Everyone loves a raffle.

I am an avid read of many years. I found the first edition of book one lacking in many areas. Also, buyer beware. The book you buy is probably not going to be the last edition of the book. The author is using fan feedback and creating several editions of each book.
