Not going to lie here...soccer is not my favorite sport. It probably doesn't even make my top 10. Golf and basketball still rule for me.
But, when the World Cup rolls around, I pay attention. It's amazing. Those guys are so good. And its cool how the countries get behind their national teams and live and die with every game.
They call it "the beautiful game", and for a month, I have to agree with them. I get caught up in the excitement and end up watching games even though I couldn't tell you a single player on either team. (Actually, I know a few names. I kind of have to "be in the know" for my job).
It's never going to replace my favoirte sports, but I do get a "kick" out of the World Cup.
