With the start of the NBA season upon us, its natural to think about how the year will go and where teams will end up. I don't have a crystal ball, and my tarot cards are lost somewhere, but I think the Utah Jazz could enjoy a decent year.

I should preface my remarks by stating I am a fan. I still root, root, root for the home team. A) I like them, and 2) it makes my job easier when they win.

That said, I think my job might be easier this year. The Jazz have some nice pieces. Can they win the NBA Championship this year? Highly unlikely. But I think they'll win enough to make the playoffs, and maybe win some post-season games or sneak out a series.

This is coach Ty Corbin's first full year on the job. It will be interesting to see how he does over an 82 game schedule. But he's got some talent to work with, and it seems like there's some good chemistry there. He wants to play more up-tempo, which the fans like, so I really think this could be a fun year.

If you have plans in June, don't change them, thinking the Jazz will be in the Finals. But they may have some home games for us in late April and early May. And that sounds good to me!
