I love walking. Any chance I get, I walk. Rain, snow or shine I walk. And I love taking my dog with me. We do it twice a day. In the a.m. and late at night. Even in winter he goes out. But he's quite a character. When it rains he'll come out to the garage, look at the rain and bows his head and that tells me, "not today master." Even if I put on his rain gear, "Nope." Lately, we've been going out in the winter. He's great in cold weather, he loves the snow. I'll zip up in layers and then put on his winter gear. "Nope, not me master" He'll bow his head and take off and hide somewhere. It kind of reminds me of the little boy in Christmas Story who was forced to wear all those layers of clothes by his mom whenever he went outdoors. The boy just whined and cried. But I get my dog out there and in his gear. What I do is show him his lease and collar, hide his sweater and go out to the garage. He's anxious knowing there's no sweater involved. But at the last minute I slip out the sweater and he bows his head and ears. I win though. And off we go. Funny guy my dog!
