I love the rivalry. New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. September. neck and neck for the division title. But Wednesday's game was too much. Over four hours. Players stepping out of the batters box to adjust their batting glove even though they just adjusted it the previous pitch. And they didn't even swing. They just held the bat and you're telling me the glove needs adjusting one more time. Come on umpires get the player back in the box or take off that damn batting glove. And the pitchers are just as bad. What are they doing on the mound between pitches. Strategy thinking. Trying to figure out the next pitch. Just pitch the damn ball. Come on umpires get in the game. Don't you want to get out in two hours and 46 minutes much like the Detroit and tampa bay games? Get the stopwatch out and enforce the rules otherwise ratings will continue to slide.
