Last January I was hobbled for a good two weeks. I had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. I remember trying to walk on crutches for a few days and my wonderful dog Sir Charles patiently walking alongside me. It was kind of a funny sight. He normally runs up and down the steps, the hallways just following my activity for the moment. And of course we both liked our long walks. Needless to say that didn't happen then. Now fast forward to last week. It was Sir Charles' turn. He had some stomach problems and it affected his body. Poor guy is hobbling right now, his hind legs are wobbly. The vet says he'll be okay. But now it's my turn to be patient and go slow. Poor guy, it sure makes me sad to see him this way. He's quite the ball of energy but he's down for the county right now. Here's hoping he'll be as good as new by week's end.
