Watching Tim Dechristopher's supporters blocking traffic and Trax trains I wondered how police were going to respond. But they acted admirable. Instead of bringing out the dogs, made, helmets to disburse the crowd, they acted civil. Chief Burbank was there talking to each of the protestors. He got down on his knee and talked with each one individually. He explained to them what was about to happen. Either move or get arrested. Those that stayed behind were arrested. There wasn't any rough stuff just a police force doing its job. If this had been any other city like Miami, Detroit, Chicago or Los Angeles the outcome would have probably been different.
Hats off to the Salt Lake Police. A tip of the Yankee cap to the police department for doing a masterful job of keeping the peace.
