It's over. Ronnie Lee Gardner was executed a little past midnight. It was difficult watching a human being killed in front of my eyes. Yet somehow I sensed that Gardner was glad to move on. I feel terrible for everyone involved. Lives were destroyed, families lost their loved ones and a man paid for his sins. If Gardner wanted something from this it was a lesson for young juvenile offenders. Gardner started sniffing glue at six years of age. He started fighting with everyone in grade school and was in juvenile detention by the time he was ten. He never returned home because he was constantly locked up. His brother said Ronnie never stood a chance to live. Even if one young juvenile who is troubled in life takes notice of what happened here....maybe just maybe his life might change. Then all would not be lost.
