This latest immigration proposal in Congress is quite scary. Babies born from illegal parents in the U.S. could be given the boot out of the country if the constitution is ever changed.
My parents are illegal. They came from Mexico in the 1920's when the border was pretty much open to anyone. They raised 16-children, bankers, nurses, mechanics, teachers, homemakers, a Vietnam war veteran and a t.v. reporter. All were all born in the U.S. I'm as American as anyone else. My parents always taught us to learn English, go to school but never forget your heritage. Because of our parents many of us are bilingual. We're proud to be Americans first, Mexicans second. I don't plan to leave my country.
