Considering I'm one of the new guys, seems every day I'm doing something for the first time.  This past weekend, I fired up the snow blower for the first time.  I have to say I was a bit aprehensive at first, we only had a couple inches of snow and I wasn't sure it was enough for the monster machine I bought a few weeks ago.  Thankfully, a couple of my neighbors got out there first and soon we were throwing snow all over the place. I'm actually a little excited for the next storm and hope it's a little bigger.  Of course that enthusiasm will likely drop off significantly when I'm out there for storm #20!

I've got another first planned for the weekend.  I'm taking my oldest son to the Utes football game Saturday.  He's just 7 and a big sports fan.  I'm a couple years older and just as big a sports fan.  I love going to new stadiums, especially colleges, and seeing the different traditions.  I have so many great memories taking in different sporting events with my dad and enjoy carrying on the tradition with my boys.

I've been able to see "Script Ohio" performed at Ohio Stadium, Chief Osceola shove his spear in the ground at Doak Campbell stadium in Tallahassee and my personal favorite, "Ralphie" leading the Colorado Buffaloes out on to Folsom Field in Boulder.  This weekend, I'm looking forward to seeing the MUSS go nuts.  I'm working on the words to Utah Man so we can sing along when the Utes score.

What's your favorite college sports tradition?  If your a Ute, Cougar, Wildcat or Aggie, what's your favorite part about college football Saturday?  Stop by next week, I'll be sure to share my favorite part of the game in my next blog.
