When Jared Francom's casket made it to the cemetery today there was a 21 gun salute and flyover. Then, a final call over emergency radios was made. The call announced the loss of Agent Jared Francom . And as friends, family and fellow officers wiped away tears the call was heard - "Agent Jared Francom is gone, but not forgotten.”
Sadly, many of us didn’t know Jared Francom until we lost him. Then we learned about his life. He lived it to "the fullest" according to his brothers. He loved protecting the people. And he did things like call home every night to check on his children before bed. We also learned he laid down his life for his brothers. As I think about that - I think maybe Jared Francom's legacy can be this - Live your life a little bit more like he lived his.
