Way to go David and Derek Maughan!

According to police, a family of seven - two adults and five children - all under the age of nine - lost control of their van and left the road in Utah. 
  
The van went down an embankment and onto an ice covered pond. The ice broke and the van sunk into the water. Only the back window was above the water.

David Maughan and his son Derek were driving behind the van when it left the road and ran down the enbankment and then got onto the rear bumper and broke out the back window with a wrench. They got the five children and two adults out - they were very cold, but uninjured. David Maughan cut his hand when he shattered the window.
