Good Sunday evening,
The last weekend of summer was beautiful, and this nice weather will continue for a while. A weak cold front will work through the state tonight. Behind it, slightly cooler air will move in for the start of the work week. Monday will be another stellar day, with highs in the 70s up north and in the higher elevations, to 80s near 90 down around Dixie.
High pressure will remain over the west coast this entire week. That means every single day will see abundant sunshine, and temperatures will be close to slightly above normal. Afternoon highs will be warm, with overnight lows comfortably cool. This ridge over the west will really take hold of the region, and prevail through next weekend.
Although it will be really nice into the start of fall next weekend, the fire danger will remain high. There will not be rain, snow, hail, or any type of precipitation anytime soon. Plus, the humidity will be very low this week. Fortunately we won't have much wind, but keep in mind how dry things will be.
Fall officially arrives next Saturday morning at 8:49am.
Have a great week.
Curtis
