I don't mean to brag, but my job definitely has its perks. Today I covered the rock climbing pro tour in town at the Shilo Inn in Salt Lake City right now. Really? Somebody pinch me? I'm getting paid for this?
This is one of those days where work is really more like play. Anybody who's known me in the past 2 years knows I love to rock climb. So naturally, when I found out the UBC Pro Tour (Unified Bouldering Championships) was going to be in town today, I set myself up so I could report it. Who gets to do that with their job?
I basically spent the morning, hanging out behind the scenes from the competition talking to the organizers, the route setters, they even let me climb on the wall where they're holding the competition, plus, later tonight I'm coming back as a guest to watch the finals. How many people get to do that?
My Dad always said "Find a job when you go work, you don't actually feel like you're at work."
I found it.
