I 've been reporting this story all week, and I noticed a couple of oddities along the way.  I offer the following as my opinion from what I've seen.

As a disclaimer, I believe there are a lot of oddities in this case, I only share a few of the ones I've noticed this week.

First on Monday, we reported the press conference held over the weekend by Josh Powell.  He didn't do any talking.  His brother-in-law handled all media questions.  Josh stood right next time the entire time, but he didn't say anything.

During some footage shot of Susan's father, Charles Cox, he was talking on the phone about Josh going camping and discusses with the caller how he suggested an area for police to search for his daughter, based on information he received from Josh.  Cox then says, "I don't know how reliable the information was, if you know what I mean."  I don't know what he means, but I imagine it means he doesn't trust his son-in-law.

On Wedesnesday, we learned Josh Powell talked with police but he only answered basic questions including things like Susan's height and weight.  We also learned he is not willing to go with police to the campsite he claims to have gone with his boys at 12:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Thursday, we aired comments made by one of Susan & Josh's good friends, Todd Peterson.  To me Todd threw Josh under the bus.  Todd told us he thought it was odd Josh wasn't actively searching for his wife, and told us right now Josh is unusually quiet. He said Josh is normally extremely opinionated.  Other friends we've interviewed who claim to be friends of both Josh & Susan also seem to distance themselves from Josh with their comments.   I find it odd, some of Josh & Susan's closest friends don't support him. They talk about how abnormal he is acting. They don't seem to approve of how he's handling the situation.  I would imagine my closest friends would support me, and help the public understand me, rather than join the nay-sayers.  Isn't that what friends are for?  It just seems odd to me.

If you wish you can also look at reports where Josh didn't show up for work because he forgot what day it was, or the fact he went camping into the Tooele wilderness in the middle of the night during a major snowstorm.

I don't convict the guy, but there's a lot that just doesn't make sense.

Why do you think his friends need to support him? They don't need to support a friend if they think he killed his wife?! I'd throw my friend under the bus too.

has anyone thought of checking the lake for Susan Powell? this is what i read after trying to see what area of utah this happened in? Everybody must go camping every so often; Simpson Springs Campground in Utah is a good place to go. Valley Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to lake? wet spot in the house being dried, i dont know, just a thought
