Since we added 4 and 1/2 hours of news to our daily schedule, my life at work has been hoppin'.
For the last two weeks I've honestly been working 11-14 hours almost every day. Between Speed Zapper, Football Fridays, going live an extra 2 hours each day, and setting up new live shots - I've barely had time to breathe. As a result, Brian's blog has become non-existant, an innocent victim if you will, shoved to the back burner, while everything else is boiling over.
No more.
Today, I am bringing Brian's blog out of hibernation. I could ramble on about poor Brian, and here's my excuse for this and I don't have time for that, but who wants to read that?
Life is busy for everybody isn't?
I'm sure some of you, reading this right now, are saying to yourselves what is Brian crying about?
I get it. Now days, some moms are busy balancing two jobs and raising a family. Single dads are doing the same thing. Some college students work 40 hours a week, and then go to school full time. Some people hardly sleep they're so busy.
I have a friend who is getting her master's degree in piano performance, taking 14 credits, practicing 4 hours a day, working as a hair stylist, pursuing an acting & modeling career, she just joined a prestigious piano quartette that performs in connection with the Utah Symphony, and she still finds time to workout, and spend time with her family. She's busy.
Life is tough for all of us. My theory is people who are disciplined enough to balance life's busy schedule are the one's who are successful. Granted you need to be motivated, have goals, and be talented at what you choose to do in life. But if you can't juggle the work load, you don't go anywhere. You hear all the time of people who "have so much potential" but if they don't have any work ethic, they never amount to anything.
Kudos to all of you who are struggling to fit everything in. Congratulations to over-worked moms, tired dads, and stressed out college students. You have somebody who knows how you feel.
