My daughter came home last night. She's not too happy with high school. She's a freshman at Juan Diego. Lots of homework on the first day. Some of her classes are filled with sophomores and juniors. I thought there was a break in period. Anyway there was when I went to school decades ago. Not now. They jump right in. And it's getting to the point where I can't help with Math. I can't figure out what the variable of 2xy(45-6)-(13x+2b) is. And then there's Social Studies, science, English comp.... Although I thought my advice for p.e. was good. It's first period. I told her why not just get dressed at home before heading to school. That way she doesn't have to change there. Saves her time. That's solid fatherly advice. I was glad to pitch in. And to think there's only 178 more days of this!
