SOUTH WEBER, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A woman was in critical condition Sunday night after she led Morgan County sheriff's deputies on a chase up and down I-84 in Weber Canyon, rammed two patrol cars and was shot by a deputy.

The Morgan County deputy who originally tried to pull the woman over wanted to talk to her about a broken tail light, but the woman would not stop.

Captain Kenneth R. Payne from the Davis County Sheriff's Office told ABC4, "The vehicle went westbound on I-84 turned around on the interstate went back up to Morgan, turned around and came westbound on 84 with the deputies in pursuit."

The UHP was able to slow the driver down after they spiked three tires, but the driver did not stop. Officials say the suspect drove the car on the one inflated tire, and once she entered South Weber, the woman rammed two patrol cars. As she was hitting the second, a Morgan County Deputy shot the woman.

The Sheriff's office still isn't sure why the woman would not pull over. They have now learned there is a warrant out of Colorado for failure to comply with a judicial order. That is a felony, but a minor issue.

The woman was later identified as Kristine Nicole Biggs from Whitewater Colorado located in the Grand Junction area.

Police say Biggs had a warrant for failure to comply out of Mesa, Colo.
