Most women ever since the beginning of time have always embraced the way in which they outwardly appear ultimately amounting to being sexy but then just as soon as you try to take feminine out of that eqaution all that you have left is some overweight lesbian with a crew cut wearing sweatpants and a tanktop with some manly tattoo that's all for show on one of their biceps. I swear most men out there who aren't all that into hair care or what they wear themselves as if looking great was somehow everything itself appreciate ladies for having those qualities. So in other words I'm no sexist but who the hell is this ditsy duo to try to take away from this simple fact of life?

I sooo agree with both flygirl5 and t6834bl Its funny how the media in ANY form can "include" SOOO many of us Utahans (or just simply human beings)when only a fail few find certain things obscene or "out of place" here. Sex sells regardless and always will...as sad as some people hate it. Just being happy and content with your own body and soul should be more then enough, rather then worrying about others. Again...2 "place negative words here" girls pointing fingers at others, just to get attention. Positive? I am not sold yet....

From a psychological stand point, it is truly the women who continue to allow themselves to be shown half naked who have the self confidence issues. They don't feel they have anything to offer. It's really sad. And it's men they exploit. They are beautiful girls... and would still be beautiful with more clothes on.

To the previous posters: give me a break. No one in this story is complaining about other women being sexier than them. They're pointing out the women and girls thinking of themselves as objects to be observed/used has negative consequences.

The comments thus far totally miss the point of this segment. No mention was made of the women in the adds being "younger/sexior/prettier" than anyone, or that you should look down on anybody. In fact, just the opposite. These girls are doctoral candidates striving to make people think about the message that is being sent to them through the sexualized images shown and how it effects us. It turns women, or men, for that matter into objects instead of people. Why they are fighting back is to tell women that their is more to be than something to be looked at. Way to go ladies.

I hate to say it, but you guys (the other commenters) are missing the point! "Sexy" doesn't even need to be part of the equation when talking about another woman (or man for that matter). I'm sure Kate Upton has quite a few positive attributes, but you'll never know about them if all we're focused on is her body.

So these 2 women are so insecure that they can't look at a pretty girl without feeling bad about themselves? Give me a break. Guess what? There are always going to be women who are younger/sexier/prettier than you. Instead of using that as a reason to feel depressed and upset, how about cultivating your own talents and awesome attributes? Young girls should NOT be encouraged to hate or look down on other women. It doesn't take anything away from me if a woman on a TV commercial is sexy.

What Utahns??? Those two above???
