SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - The American Red Cross and Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon urged Utahns to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.

A volunteer-staffed American Red Cross emergency response vehicle from the state was dispatched today to the hurricane-damaged east coast to provide support to local efforts in New Jersey and New York.

In addition to support for the group's efforts, there is an ongoing need for contributions to support the victims of this disaster.
