Good Thursday morning,
Any fog should burn off quickly in the Wasatch Back. The same storm that brought the rain and mountain snow is currently over northwest Colorado. A few showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon to the east of the Wasatch. The Uinta Basin, down to Price, and even around Moab and the La Sals could see a brief shower. Highs will be comfortable, in the 70s and 80s.
The wind flow behind this storm could steer some smoke and haze back into northern Utah over the next few days. The fires in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming were helped out by the recent rain, but not extinguished completely. So a little smoke could wander back down from these still burning fires.
That's the only real blemish in the forecast. A weak trough might bring an isolated mountain storm on Friday into Saturday, but otherwise is will be mostly sunny and warm. By the beginning of October (next week), the temps will be in the 80s along the Wasatch Front. That's a good 10 degrees above average. It should remain warm and dry through the end of next week.
