SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) – It appears President Barack Obama has a bit of a potty mouth.
Rolling Stone magazine, reportedly, quotes Mr. Obama using a swear word in suggesting his Republican opponent Mitt Romney is a liar.
President Obama reportedly implied to Rolling Stone that Romney is a “bull-----er.”
Utah's Republican Chairman Thomas Wright isn’t happy about that.
He told ABC 4,
"When you're the President of the United States, and you're speaking to a reporter, you should be more respectful of people, especially your opponent."
But we also talked to state Democratic Chairman Jim Dabakis.
He's not happy with the president's choice of words either.
However, Dabakis noted that recently Utah Senator Orrin Hatch also used some strong language.
According to a Deseret News article last week, Hatch told some Utah college students what he thought about the Obama
campaign,
"You can buy off on all the (bleep) that they put out there, and there's plenty of it, and all this hope and change (bleep)."
However, Thursday it was the president's comments that were all the rage on the internet.
Especially on Twitter, where conservatives were not happy.
Wright adds,
“It's disappointing. The candidate of hope and change has turned into the candidate of criticism and division.”
