SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Mitt Romney is now being defended by one his closest advisors, his son Tagg.
Romney's oldest son was so angry about the way Mr. Obama talked about his father in the debate, he wanted to, well, tag the president.
The big Tagg to-do started when Tagg Romney went on a North Carolina radio station.
The host asked, "What was it like for you to hear the President of the United Sates call your dad a liar?"
Tagg Romney responded, "Well, jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him."
And, of course, that comment was catnip for the internet.
The story was picked up around the country and world.
And, on Twitter, Tagg Romney was taken to task.
Now, Tagg went on to say, "But you know you can't do that because, well, first, there's a lot of secret service between you and him but, also, because this is the nature of the process."
Later, both Tagg Romney and a Romney spokesperson assured the press and the public that he really wasn’t going to hit the president.
