SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Thursday’s snow storm caused headaches on the road for drivers across the Wasatch front.

The valley looked like a virtual snow globe in the sky, but on the ground it was a slushy mess.

“We had a couple of accidents on the freeway,” Pua Mataele said. “It was really bad.”

Cars kept sliding and crashing as snow plows tried to keep up with the snow fall.

David Schab saw quite a few accidents from Wendover to Salt Lake City.

“I saw one tractor trailer out in the water West of Tooele,” he said.

The snow was also the cause of delays for drivers.

“Trying to come home was a disaster,” Mataele added. “It’s really bad.”

As of Thursday night, Utah Highway Patrol reported 59 accidents in Salt Lake County with one injury and 14 accidents in Utah County with no injuries.
