SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah (ABC 4 News) - With so much being done in Washington to remember the two Powell children killed in a house explosion, family friend Kiirsi Hellewell tells ABC 4 people want to know what they can do in Utah. She has a suggestion.

"I've had a lot of people asking if there is a memorial location here in Utah," said Kiirsi Hellewell, friend of Susan Cox Powell.

After Josh Powell moved his two boys to Washington State. New people are living in their old West Valley home. So Hellewell is telling well wishers to do something else.

"Please donate items to the Christmas Box House," said Hellewell.

The Christmas Box House helps children abused or neglected by their parents, and is in constant need of donations. If you're looking to donate, staff tell ABC 4 kids who come to the Christmas Box House need duffle bags, so they have something to carry their toys clothes, and stuffed animals, all their belongings by the time that they leave there.

Staff said they need bags by the hundreds.

"We often have kids who come here with nothing or they walk away and all they have is a garbage bag," said Carolyn Hansen, Director of Youth Services.

Hellewell says people who donate to the Christmas Box House can make a great impact.

"Charlie and Braden are not here any more, but they can still help other children," said Hellewell.

And in a way it can honor their memory. If you want to donate duffle bags to the Christmas Box House, staff recommend you drop them off in person. It's located at 3660 S. West Temple in South Salt Lake. It’s open 24 hours a day.

I think that the Cox Family should check to see if it all possible to petition the courts and change the names of the little boys to the Cox Family name. Those little boys should not have to go through history with that legacy and the Cox Family should not have to go and visit their Grandson's grave sites and have to endure looking the "The Monster's name who, we all know took their precious daughter and did in fact torture and murder their precious little angels. May God look after this family and keep them from having to endure one more inhumane thing in their lives. Satan is alive and well. The proof, you ask? Sitting in jail, one of the most vile, disgusting, filthy excuses for a human being, he is ultimately responsible, for raising that sorry piece of -----, who destroyed so many lives.

Those two precious darling little boys.....my heart is shattered. I know they are safe now and are God's little angels. How can such evil walk the earth and be considered a human is beyond me. How can you take the life of something so innocent that you are suppose to love. My God I'm so sick over this I wish I had never saw it. May peace be with the rest of the family that loved these little boys.
