Police investigate shooting in SLC street

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Police searched for a suspect in a shooting that took place in the middle of a Salt Lake City street on Monday.

Police say the shooting happened at 900 East 2100 South.

Police say the victim, 21 years old, was shot in the middle of the street at the intersections of Garfield St. And Elizabeth St.

Police say friends drove him to a nearby Walgreens to call for help, where emergency crews responded and transported the man to a local hospital.

Investigators were assessing the scene of the shooting and said the the suspect had not yet been apprehended.
