OREM, Utah (ABC 4 News) - The new Bachelorette began her journey for love this week on ABC. Another similar journey is about to start for a Utah County man, he is single and looking for the one. To do that, he is using the Mormon Bachelor.
"My name is Kent, I'm from California."
He is a 20 something soon-to-be Dentist and has a long resume of college volleyball, European professional basketball, an LDS mission and now he is looking for love.
Kent Tuttle sent in an audition tape to get him chosen as the "Mormon Bachelor." He was one of hundreds of men who wanted the chance to be the Mormon BAchelor with all the potential love and drama involved.
Tuttle told ABC4, "I am really hoping to find someone, dating is tough and complicated so I'm really hoping to meet someone and have a connection."
Here is the calculation for Bachelor love: 12 first round dates, widdled down to six girls, then three and then hopefully the one.
This isn't the first time around for the Mormon Bachelor, it's actually the fourth. Erin Elton created it all. She said there was a drought of dating within her young LDS social circle, so she wanted to quench the thirst.
Of the three seasons: one marriage, one broken heart and another just didn't work.
This time around, Elton "wants him to get married!"
Each of the dates will be filmed and posted on line. That might be a little intimidating, but he's not worried about it.
Tuttle said, "I'm an open person, and I don't have anything to hide. So I feel like I'll be able to handle it. I guess."
For Tuttle the bottom line, "I have to find the girl for me."
