Heres the problem, if your kid is punching and bullying my kid you already f'ed up! Sick of lazy ass parents raising bullies and then acting like somethings wrong when they get there come uppens ! If your irresponsible enough to have a bully for a kid then you didn't protect him from the A#@whopping he deserves. Eye for an eye ,yea when it comes to my child the rules change! You make a little monster and let him/her loose in this world then expect them to be treated like angels, no way! Obviously the bullies parents weren't doing their job in the first place so good for her for having the maturity and strength not to beat the crap out of the little turd!!

Why are we defending this woman? Another students parent approaching my child without me being present is a serious threat in my mind. If my child is bullying other students I would handle the re-education on how to treat others. An adult using fear tactics on a child is UNACCEPTABLE. Adults know better than to use this type of behavior. I would speak with the students parents first and never the child alone!

The child was punched in the face! That is assault not bullying. The state is all about there no bullying zones but they do very little to reprimand the kids that are at fault. I think in bullying cases the DCFS should also be notified since like 90% of child violence starts at home. The principle is a joke..

I get so mad with how the schools deal with bullying . why is it that they are super strict with stupid stuff like kids playing kissing tag or having a table knife from moving in your car but they don't do anything to brats who pick on other kids making their lives miserable . I would have said something to the kid who beat up my kid to and the school could can do something like make the bullies sit in the office all day doing their work were someone can keep on eye on them. punish the bully not the victim.

A high school in Appleton, Wisconsin tried an experiment under the enlightened guidance of their principal, LuAnn Coenen. She wanted to see if she could positively affect the fighting, weapons-carrying and general lack of focus and discipline in the school by changing the food the kids ate. Vending machines were replaced with water coolers; hamburgers and French fries were taken off the menu and replaced with fresh vegetables and fruit, whole grain breads and a salad bar. With the departure of junk food, she also saw the departure of vandalism, litter and the need for police patrolling her hallways. The students were calm, socially engaged and focused on their schoolwork. Problems were minimal. And all Ms. Coenen did was change the menu! It's sad to hear that this mother felt like she had to take things into her own hands. The school needs to take some responsibility for this. It also doesn't sound like she threatned the bully, but told him that there was someone paying attention and his actions wouldn't be tollerated any longer. It would be nice for the school, who has a bullying policy, to have taken this role. There has to be another solution, other than banning Mrs. Morgan, to the principals hurt pride and feelings of shame for not protecting Mrs. Morgan's child. I hope this is resolved soon and Mrs. Morgan is allowed to actively participate in her child's education.

So basically, just another day of brainless school administrators. Once schools starting adopting all these "zero tolerance" policies, admins quit thinking.

"The effect of your behavior at Quail Hollow Elementary is to undermine the administration's responsibility to ensure the safety of the students while at school. Poor behavior-- on the part of the students or parents-- impacts learning and cannot be tolerated in the school setting." Schools have used this exact wording for years to discredit meaningful involvement by parents. It creates an imbalance of power where the school essentially bullies a parent that wants to be involved. Don't get me wrong, I feel this mother was out of line in approaching the child instead of his parents. But if she had threatened him ,that is a crime under at least two different Utah laws ... the 'Dangerous/disruptive behavior in school' law or the 'Illegal act in school' law ... and this school needs to immediately file criminal charges. As far as threatening her under the 'Trespassing on school grounds' law is concerned, this is another hollow attempt to bully her into silence so they don't have to address bullying in their school. That law specifically reads that the person can't be on school grounds while not having school business - making sure one's child is safe from abuse is most certainly valid school business. The school's next move is likely to start blaming the bullied child and documenting 'behavior concerns'. Or they'll have the mother arrested and offer to have the charges dropped if she agrees to take her son out and home school him. That would be the very bullying schools profess to want to eliminate. Let's consider the school's own words on ensuring student safety. This mother's child was physically attacked. Where was their commitment to ensuring his safety? How did that bully's violence affect the learning environment and what's been done to show it will not be tolerated?

1. "Pick on someone your own size" says the adult to the smalll child. Does anyone else see the hypocrisy in that statment? 2. If the parent had actually threatened the child, not merely appear to be threatening him, why didn't the school immediately phone the police to have the mother charged under the 'Dangerous and Disruptive Behavior in School' law? I have that number somewhere if you'd like ... I'd love hearing the school's/district's answer as to why they didn't have the mother arrested, as is their public safety obligation. 3. Any school district that lies in official investigations, as Canyons has, will think nothing of lying to a reporter so they can't be held accountable. They'll tell you what they want you to believe and then leave it to you to prove they've been less than honest.

There is a break in communication due to the principal. teachers like that are the one who encourage students to be bullies. As parents we have the right to protect our children from been bullied when teachers sit idle not trying to protect other children.Mrs Flores you are a bad example of what a good principal should be.STOP BULLYING IN YOUR SCHOOL or find a nother profession.
