LEHI, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Lehi Roller Mills is one step closer to closing down.
A legal notice in the October 23 sports section of the Salt Lake Tribune lists the company property for sale by auction November 29.
It reads, "the following described real property will be sold at public auction to the highest bidder, payable in lawful money of the United States at the time the sale, on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at the front entrance of the Fourth Judicial District Court, located at 125 North 100 West, Provo, Utah".
Lehi Roller Mills owner Sherman Robinson responded to the notice by saying, "I'm not overly concerned about it. It's a legal process and it's in the beginning stages."
The Utah icon put on the map by the movie "footloose" may close after more than 100 years because the company lost its line of credit in 2009 and as bills mounted creditors failed to pay 4.5 million dollars in bills.
A perfect storm of misfortune, if you will, pushing the Department of Labor to clamp down on the company when it failed to pay its employees on time.
Lehi Roller Mills customers say they're upset. "It's been here ever since I was a kid and it's kind of historic Lehi as everything builds up around it," said Brandon Crotts.
"It would be sad if they closed, not sure what would happen to that corner," said Marilyn Schiess.

Robinson says it can be saved and says too much government regulation is to blame for the current problems.
