WEST JORDAN Utah (ABC 4 News) – An early morning raid has left the homeowner angry at police and his neighbors.

“The police came blowing up my door and everything,” says Rick Riggs. “I was in the middle of sleeping.”

Riggs lives in West Jordan and he says a swat team used an explosive device shortly after midnight to enter his home.

“It blew the whole front door in," he says. “They came in through the windows, the doors.

Riggs claims a law enforcement swat team left his home in shambles.

"And when they find out that you don't have the drugs they are looking for they get pissed off and trash every thing," Riggs says.

Riggs showed ABC 4 News the inside of his home and every room was in disarray. He says the swat team just barreled in.

“They said police, police as they were coming in, but I was asleep,” he says. “If they would have knocked I would have let them in.”

Riggs says his neighbors are snitches.

“They think I’m a drug dealer and I’m not,” he says.

He claims the swat team didn’t find anything in his home.

“They found no drugs, no firearms,” he says.

But later during the tour of his home, he remembers the swat team taking something. It was a piece of aluminum foil.

“There was some residue … heroin residue,” says Riggs. “No (it wasn’t mine). There is no way to prove that.”

Riggs was convicted last year of drug possession and he's still on probation.

“I know I could go to jail for this,” he says.

The raid was a joint effort between the West Jordan police department and FBI's Safe Streets Task Force.  A spokesperson for the FBI says if Riggs is concerned over what happened he may contact the West Jordan police department.
