OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) – The United States is on course to fall off the fiscal cliff. It’s basically a series of long drops including one big drop for our nation's military.

Falling off the cliff would mean an across the board 10.3 percent cut to Hill Air Force Base and all military spending. Jobs and wages are also protected because President Obama decided last year to exempt military personnel from spending cuts.

This means troops’ pay, benefits and jobs are not subject to cuts.

ABC 4 will continue to follow this story to report the impact this will have on Hill Air Force Base.
