AMERICAN FORK, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A Columbine High School shooting survivor is holding a silent auction at Highland Gardens in American Fork from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. February 28 to raise money for Sandy Hook Elementary survivors.

“I’m just excited to do anything that would possibly help even if it’s just a little bit,” Wright says.

Amber Wright wrote a children’s book called It Gets Better. The book describes her personal journey of pain and healing.

She is organizing the fundraiser to print and ship 1,100 copies of her book to Sandy Hook survivors.  She said she will not receive a cent for the book.

Profits from the book or extra money from the fundraiser will go to the Sandy Hook Survivors Fund.
