SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Police say a Layton couple was arrested after a high speed chase on the other side of the Mexican border.

Mexican police arrested the couple after a high speed chase about 100 miles from the U.S. border.

Jacqueline Jean Randall and Lorin Davison Fiene were both indicted by a federal grand jury in October on drug charges.

The U.S. Marshals Service and the Davis Metro Narcotics Strike Force received leads that the couple had fled the area shortly after being indicted.

Both people were in federal prison in San Diego on Monday, awaiting extradition to Utah.
