OGDEN, Utah (ABC 4 News) -  Nearly three hundred Ogden workers who were terminated when Hostess closed its doors attended a job fair today.

The job fair was organized by the Department of Workforce Services and the Ogden/Weber Technology College.

Reps from 30 different companies including those in the bakery and food production sectors showed up at Thursday's job fair.  According to a spokesperson for the college, several of the companies came ready to hire on the spot.

Hostess closed after the company and the baker's union could not reach an agreement. It left 18-thousand people without a job, six hundred of them here in Utah.
