LEHI & BOUNTIFUL, Utah (ABC 4 News) - It's a double blow to the surviving family of one Wendover plane crash victim killed when the Cessna 172 he was inside crashed.
Justin Yates' insurance policy expired one week before his death, according to cousin Tiffany Bloomquist.
He leaves behind his wife Sally and three boys Walker, 11; Colman, 9; and Dawson, 5.
"They just need help. It's my dear cousin. It's these beautiful three boys. I know he didn't want to leave his family like this," said Bloomquist.
Yates was flying from St. George to Salt Lake City with business partners Lincoln Dastrup, Chad Wade and Harish Parashar.
The men were developing a supplement they claimed could fight cancer. It was the next step to help Yates find financial freedom again after losing everything during the recession.
If you would like to help the Yates family, go to a Mountain America Credit Union or Wells Fargo Bank and ask to deposit money into the Justin Michael Yates Memorial Fund.
ABC 4 also talked with David Blanchard who was Chad Wade's close friend. "We can't get our arms wrapped around this. He can't be gone he can't be gone," said Blanchard.
Blanchard was Wade's coach in business and in life, mentoring him every Wednesday morning about success.
"I have never met anyone who lived life as fully as he did, every minute of every day, he was so driven to create success in everything that he did," said Blanchard.
Wade was an inspirational speaker, authored the book called "Cracking The Producers Code" about becoming successful in life and sold information about buying and selling real estate.
His plane trip from St. George was part of his big comeback, after hitting financial rock bottom during the recession. He was helping Parashar, a well known doctor from India, develop a supplement to fight off cancer.
"He was rebuilding magnificently. I think his legacy is you never never give up. That's his legacy," said Blanchard.
