OREM, Utah (ABC 4 News) – An Orem man says a faded registration sticker put him at risk of getting a ticket.

Bob Tackleberry contacted the DMV and he was quickly mailed replacement stickers.

Spokesperson for the tax commission Charlie Roberts says the DMV handed out faulty stickers and corrected the problem with a new line of fade proof stickers.

The stickers at risk of fading are for the year 2012 and the old month stickers.

Contact the DMV if the stickers on your car have faded.
