EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (ABC 4 News) - People in Eagle Mountain are trying to help a man pick up the pieces of his life after his wife dies giving birth, and he discovers he may be losing his home.

"Everyone that ever met Liz loved her, I loved her beyond belief," said Mike Roberts, wife died after child birth.

Mike Roberts heart is aching. Last week his wife died after giving birth to their youngest daughter.

"My three year old doesn't understand, I try to explain to her that Mama is good because she's with Jesus, but she's not coming home," said Roberts.

On October 17th, Liz Roberts had rare complications during labor. Doctors rushed her to a trauma unit, but couldn't save her.

"So we pulled the life support and within 10 minutes she died," Roberts said.

"How hard was it for you to do that?" Reporter Brian Carlson asked.

"It was unbelievable, I never thought at 32 years old I would be doing something.. it was just like a nightmare, like a dream, just unbelievable," said Roberts.

If that wasn't bad enough Roberts discovered his finances were in bad shape.

"In one day I found out I lost my wife, was losing my house, and my boss got fired all in the same day," he said.

So now people are flocking to Roberts' aid. Blogger John Kinnear, who worked with Liz wrote an entry about her death, and is asking his readers for donations.

"I just wanted to reach out in the only way I knew how," said John Kinnear, blogger.
Clif Gallagher doesn't know Mike or Liz, but he's collecting items for a fundraiser this weekend.

"When I saw her post my heart basically leapt out of my chest and said you need to do something," said Clif Gallagher, organizing fundraiser.

If you ask Mike, he's stunned by all the support he's getting through his wife's death.
"I really think this is God's way of saying it's going to be alright, I won't give you more than you can handle," said Roberts.

If you'd like to help, you can either attend the fundraiser this weekend, or make a donation online.

The fundraiser will be held Friday, Oct. 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 3671 Blackhawk Road Eagle Mountain, Utah. And Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rockwell Charter School located at 3435 E. Stonebridge Lane Eagle Mountain, Utah.

Liz was a wonderful friend and a friend of mine since grade school. She will be sorely missed. I pray the Lord will bless her little ones and husband at this time.
