OREM, Utah (ABC 4 News) - A dump truck rollover caused a major backup on Interstate 15 in Orem on Thursday.
The rollover in the southbound lanes of I-15 happened near mile post 269 in Orem.
The Utah Highway Patrol said all lanes in both directions were shut down at one point.
Traffic was diverted to side streets as crews worked to clear the scene.
Orem's Center Street was already closed for construction, which added to the congestion.
The UHP said the dump truck was towing a "pup" trailer loaded with gravel when the front left tire of truck blew out, which caused the truck to veer left into a barrier
The UHP said the pup trailer rolled over on the rail and spilled the gravel, while the barrier was pushed into the southbound left lane.
A van traveling south hit the barrier, while two other vehicle also sustained damage.
Incredibly, there were no significant injuries reported.
