SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Not many 24-year-olds out there consider mom their best friend. That is, unless you're Brynn Claitor.
Since the Utah Blaze were born in 2006, if there's been a game in town that's exactly where you could find Brynn and his mom Debbie.
"They do mean a lot to me," Brynn said.
"We've been here for so many years and have come here and sat in the same place," said Debbie. "This is a big part of our lives, we love it."
You see, Brynn didn't have a father growing up, so he and his mom are super close. You could even say they're best friends.
"Any son would say their mom is their best friend," Brynn said.
Would a Blaze game be the same without his mom?
"Probably not, probably not," he said.
"Well, it wouldn't be the same without him, either," said Debbie.
So what's Brynn's favorite part about game days? That would be everything, but he really enjoys any chance he gets to interact with the team.
"There's always a couple players who are really good friends with him," Debbie said.
As for who is favorite player is....
"Aaron Lesue," he said.
"I met him over a year ago at the gym and we became friends and I didn't know his story but he's just the nicest guy," said Lesue.
Aaron lost his father when he was two-years-old, so he understands the tight bond Brynn and Debbie share.
"My mom was my best friend when I was a kid," Lesue said. "We used to go on our dates, so I see them sitting over there and it's one of those things that reminds you of what's most important to you in your life."
And for Brynn and Debbie, there's no doubt what's most important to them - each other.
