TOOELE COUNTY (ABC 4 News) - Fire crews are battling a 500-acre wildfire in Tooele County that has forced a partial closure of State Route 73 between Lehi and Tooele.

Investigators say the blaze was sparked Thursday morning by a passing vehicle.  The fire started on the west side of the highway, but has already jumped the road twice.

Hot shot crews from Cedar City will tackle the flames Friday morning.

SR 73 was closed in both directions for several hours Thursday evening, but the road is now open.

Investigators say the fire is burning in a remote area and not threatening structures. There is a chance that nearby campgrounds could be evacuated.
