CLEARFIELD, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police say a 22-year-old man was killed on Tuesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash.
According to police, the motorcycle driver crashed into an SUV that was making a turn at about 2:30 p.m.
Police say the motorcyclist most likely died on impact.
According to witnesses on scene, police say the 22 year old Roy resident turned eastbound onto 700 South from the southbound off-ramp off of I-15.
While traveling east, police say the motorcycle driver collided with a black Honda SUV driven by a 33-year-old Pleasant View woman that was turning left (westbound) out of a Chevron gas station.
Police say the woman was treated by ambulance personnel and released on scene.
According to police, speed may have been one of the contributing factors in the cause of the crash, which is still under investigation.
Police said it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were involved.
Police said the identity of the deceased and other driver will not be released until death notification is made to a next of kin.
