Kim Johnson is an award-winning journalist who joined the ABC 4 team as weekend anchor in August 2012. Kim has covered the gamut from forest fires in Duluth MN, the 35W Minneapolis bridge collapse to traveling with a local civil rights leader all the way to Washington D.C. for President Obama’s Inauguration. She picked up a love for the Packers while covering the team in Green Bay, WI. Her thirst to cover the big political stories is partly what led her to Iowa just in time for the 2012 Republican Presidential caucuses. Kim is a big believer is giving back. When she’s not working in the newsroom, you can find her volunteering in a classroom inspiring youth. In 2011, Kim accomplished one of her biggest goals. She qualified for the Boston Marathon and crossed that finish line in April 2012. She can't wait to discover all that Utah has to offer when it comes to running, cycling and anything outdoors.
