Jon returns to ABC 4, where his award-winning career began more than twenty years ago.

“In many ways, I’m coming home.” he says.

Jon brings a wealth of experience to the ABC 4 team. From Salt Lake City, to Boston, to Los Angeles and Phoenix, Jon has worked as a general assignments reporter, a consumer advocate, a network correspondent and a news anchor.

His passion for pursuing and telling the story has taken him to the war-torn former Yugoslav Republic, the crime-ridden streets of Los Angeles and Phoenix, the drug fields of Mexico, and the halls of the U.S. Congress, not to mention the neighborhoods of suburban Salt Lake City.

Jon’s journalism is not limited to his broadcasting work. His book The Prodigal Father – A True Story of Tragedy, Survival and Reconciliation in an American Family won national acclaim and was an Amazon.com Bestseller. His feature film screenplay was optioned by Disney and is now in development.

Jon’s devotion to his children brought him back to Utah, where he plans to culminate his career as he coaches his son’s basketball team, enjoys his daughter’s dance recitals and is a vital part of the community he loves.
