One of the most respected and widely recognized local journalists in the country, Chris Vanocur is now celebrating 20 years on air in Utah. In his two decades here, Chris has been honored with America's most prestigious journalism awards, including the George Foster Peabody Award, the Columbia University Dupont Silver Baton and the Edward R. Murrow Award for Excellence in Reporting. Chris is also the host of "On the Record", seen every Sunday morning on ABC 4. Chris graduated many eons ago from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech. Before graduating, he spent his junior year abroad studying at Edinburgh University in Scotland. As one of the most visible and cherished members of our community, Chris has hosted numerous charitable events over the years. He is also an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys hiking and running in the City Creek/Memory Grove area and swimming just about anywhere he can find a puddle of water. Finally, in unique recognition of his standing in the community, Chris even has a salad named after him at Tony Caputo's Deli!
