Jill brings 14 years of broadcast experience to ABC 4. She started in her home town of Phoenix writing, and ripping scripts, but quickly realized reporting was her true passion. She went from Phoenix to Moline, Illinois (that’s the Quad Cities to you and me) where she landed her first anchor/reporter position. From there she continued her Midwest tour to Fort Wayne Indiana where she was the weekend anchor for two years.
Finally, in 2000, Jill came to Salt Lake City. She worked for another television station in the market and even did morning radio for a while before coming to ABC 4. The highlights of her career include following a group of local firefighters back to New York for the recovery effort after September 11th, and reporting during the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Games. Jill loves to tell stories that affect people, but more importantly, she wants her stories to make a difference. She is an award-winning journalist for both breaking news and investigative stories.
Jill is also a Gulf War veteran, and knows first hand how difficult deployment is on soldiers and their families. She is heavily involved with our local Department of Veterans Affairs and supports veterans whenever she can. She also volunteers for the Alzheimer’s Association. Jill loves Utah, the mountains, the people and of course the skiing! She is married and has one little boy.
